4.2 Allen — Twin Creeks
Meet at Twin Creeks Golf Club (501 Twin Creeks Dr.) and we’ll loop up Twin Creeks Drive up to Exchange Pkwy and back down via West Rowlett Creek through the golf course. Mostly flat paved paths.
5-Plus Miler to Celebration Park
Large loop around Celebration Park with several stops for strength training (HIIT combo of plyometrics, planking, and/or pushups, etc.). Meet at the small park on Sandlewood Dr. (Sandlewood Dr. and Pine Knoll); parking on the street.
Watters Creek Trail Out and Back
6.3 miles of beautiful wooded paved running trail with no annoying stop signs or street crossings. Mostly flat and some shade. Meet at the bank parking lot on the corner of W Bethany and Watters Rd.
Warren Park 5 Mile Loop
Starting at Rogers Elementary School (10500 Rogers Rd.) and winding up through Preston Highlands neighborhood. We’ll stop at Warren Park for water, sprints, and stretching.
6 Mile Castle Hills Loop
Scenic run along the path next to the golf course and Lake Avalon and making a large loop through quiet residential roads. All paved path some minor hills. Park and meet at the Castle Hills Mail Center (701 Sword Bridge Dr.)
9.6 Lewisville Lake
Pretty and peaceful out and back run in the outskirts of Lewiston. Some of the run is unpaved around the lake (about 3 miles), but most is paved sidewalks. Meet at the Pizza Hut on Justin Rd. (1425 Justin Rd.)
Wilson Creek & College Pkwy 4-Miler
Starting at the Towne Lake Disc Golf Course (1401 Wilson Creek Pkwy.) and looping around Towne Lake and a short out and back down College St. There’s plenty of parking at the disc golf course.
McKinney Stonebridge Ranch Park Loop
5.4 mile hilly loop around the neighborhoods around Stonebridge Golf Course. Park at the small parking lot on the south end of the baseball diamond at Falcon Creek Park (by the water on the other side away from Eddins Elementary School).
McKinney Out and Back
About 7.2 miles through McKinney’s neighborhoods (mostly flat). Meet at the John and Judy Gay Public Library (6861 Eldorado Pkwy.) and we’ll run all the way to the end of Collin McKinney Pkwy, with two parks for water breaks and strength training.
Riverway Park to Waters Edge Park
5 mile flat run between Wylie and Murphy. We’ll start at Riverway Park (corner of Riverway Lane and Wooded Creek Ave.), west via Riverway Lane towards Maxwell Creek and back via McGreary.
10.5 mile flat road run starting at Tibbals Elementary School (621 Waters Edge Way). Meet at the north end of the school parking lot. Pit stop around halfway at North Hill Park for water and strength training.
